四都鄉(xiāng)平田村地處松陽縣東北部，距松陽縣城15公里，東北與武義縣竹客村接壤，西南臨本鄉(xiāng)莊河、陳家鋪村，村莊海拔610米。

平田村交通便利，220省道經(jīng)過村腳，且位于寨頭嶺隧道出口，開車到縣城只需要15分鐘。

平田村三面環(huán)山，東面背靠雞毛山，北面天臺(tái)尖，南面楊梅花山，西側(cè)相對(duì)開闊。其布局嚴(yán)格按照風(fēng)水進(jìn)行規(guī)劃。

麗金驛路在村邊經(jīng)過，仍保留有茶葉交易地點(diǎn)和驛站。

平田村大部分建筑樸素、簡潔，甚少裝飾。體現(xiàn)出當(dāng)?shù)匾赞r(nóng)耕為特點(diǎn)的生活方式。

門、窗（框）形式簡單，以木板門、格楞窗為主。

合院類建筑裝飾較多，集中在花格窗、牛腿等木構(gòu)件，壁畫等。設(shè)計(jì)公司

深入挖掘歷史文化的價(jià)值特色和歷史文化內(nèi)涵，客觀評(píng)價(jià)歷史文化資源價(jià)值，確定科學(xué)的保護(hù)目標(biāo)和手段?；谧钚「深A(yù)原則，最大限度地保護(hù)村落文化遺產(chǎn)，延續(xù)真實(shí)的歷史文化風(fēng)貌環(huán)境。利用多種措施，保證村落的傳統(tǒng)風(fēng)貌不受到破壞，并力爭提升村落的傳統(tǒng)風(fēng)貌，保持濃郁的傳統(tǒng)文化氛圍。
