Structure and Space

背山面海，礁石之上。餐吧設(shè)計(jì)從場地周邊自然環(huán)境的存在出發(fā)，將建筑物呈現(xiàn)成為一個(gè)低姿態(tài)的場所，通過模糊人造結(jié)構(gòu)和自然土地間的物理界限，彌合自然的“存在形式”與建筑的“建造形式”之間存在的裂隙。

With mountains behind and the sea in front, the project locatesabove the reef. Starting from the existence of the natural environment around the site, the design presents the building as a low-profile place, and bridges the gap between the‘existence form’ of nature and the‘construction for’ of architecture by blurring the physical boundary between man-made structure and natural lands.

如同生物在自然規(guī)律的作用下生長，木構(gòu)屋頂?shù)氖a蔽之下，紅褐色礁石“生長”出結(jié)構(gòu)與空間，從而生成建筑形體。面對(duì)北海特有的礁石結(jié)合海蝕平臺(tái)，餐吧設(shè)計(jì)的意圖趨向于延續(xù)和放大體驗(yàn)，而非重新創(chuàng)造。

Just as living things grow by the influence of natural laws, under the shade of wooden roofs, reddish-brown reefs‘grow’ out of structures and spaces, then creating architectural forms. Face to the reefs and sea-eroded platforms unique toBeihai, the intention of design tends to perpetuate and amplify the experience rather than reinvent it.

人們對(duì)礁石的感知帶有強(qiáng)烈的身體性，在此，結(jié)構(gòu)本身也不止外形上的“建造”，更包含了內(nèi)在的“敘事”。洗手間功能以單體的形式被拆解，在礁石之內(nèi)散布。電霧玻璃讓獨(dú)立的廁所隔間保持通透，空間的硬邊界被虛化，礁石內(nèi)部的視覺完整性得以保留。洞穴般原始的氛圍中，人造光源巧妙地訴說著時(shí)間與光線的微妙變化，與石壁形成溫和逆反的能量。

People's perception of the reef has a strong physicality, and here the structure itself is not only the ‘construction’ of the appearance, but also the inner‘narrative’. The washroom function is disassembled as a single unit and scattered within the reef. The electric-fog-glass keeps the individual toilet cubicles transparent, the hard boundaries of the space are blurred, and the visual integrity of the reef's interior is preserved. In a cave-like atmosphere, artificial light sources subtly tell the subtle changes of time and light, forming a gentle counter-energy with the stone wall.
